چکیده

Five Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) were used to assess the relationship between inflorescence characteristics and their allelic variation in 53 Brassica oleracea wild relatives (n = 9). Curd morphometric traits, such as weight (CW), height (CH), diameter (CD1), shape (CS) curvature angle (CA), its curd stem (CD2), measured. The aim of work was analyze relationships among patterns SSRs primers utilized, status homo or heterozygosity registered at each locus, well traits order individuate genomic regions stimulating hypertrophy this reproductive organ. found explain diversity B. complex species 9) for size structure, allowing important time reduction during breeding process by crossing species, transferring useful resistance, organoleptic nutraceutical traits. five loci BoABI1, BoAP1, BoPLD1, BoTHL1, PBCGSSRBo39. According ascertained, we evaluated index (H) SSR above cited. results showed a significant interaction H BoPLD1 gene characteristics, summarized First Principal Component (PC1) (p-value 0.0244); ascertained negative correlation namely CW, CH, CD1, CD2, CA. homozygosity alelles, indicated index, affect broccoli cauliflower yields.

Genomic distribution of simple sequence repeats in Brassica rapa.

Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) represent short tandem duplications found within all eukaryotic organisms. To examine the distribution of SSRs in the genome of Brassica rapa ssp. pekinensis, SSRs from different genomic regions representing 17.7 Mb of genomic sequence were surveyed. SSRs appear more abundant in non-coding regions (86.6%) than in coding regions (13.4%). Comparison of SSR densities...

Simple Sequence Repeats Amplification: a Tool to Survey the Genetic Background of Olive Oils

A reliable DNA extraction method for use on extra virgin olive oil based on a commercial kit was defined, and the possibility of using this DNA for fingerprinting the original cultivar was demonstrated. The genetic traceability of single-cultivar virgin olive oil from two cultivars (Carolea and Frantoio) was achieved by identifying the varieties from which they were produced. This involved the ...

Genetic and Molecular Dissection of Blast Resistance in Rice Using RFLP, Simple Sequence Repeats and Defense-Related Candidate Gene Markers

Blast, Pyricularia grisea (Cooke) Sacc., is one of the most destructive diseases of rice worldwide and canresult in significant reductions in yield. The use of resistant cultivars is the most economical and effectiveway of controlling rice blast. A variety of DNA markers, including plant defense-related candidategene markers are available for genetic characterization and molec...

A study on genetic differentiation in two species of Iranian bleaks, (Alburnus mossulensis) and (Alburnus caeruleus) (Teleostei, Cyprinidae) using simple sequence repeats

The genetic structure of the genus Alburnus is not well known and the phylogenetic relationships among its species are uncertain. In the present study, simple sequence repeats (SSRs or microsatellites) were used to evaluate genetic diversity and genetic differentiation between Alburnus mossulensis Heckel, 1843 from Kashgan River in Lorestan province and Alburnus caeruleus Heckel, 1843 from Gama...

Simple sequence repeats in Haemophilus influenzae

Simple sequence repeat (SSRs) of DNA are subject to high rates of mutation and are important mediators of adaptation in Haemophilus influenzae. Previous studies of the Rd KW20 genome identified the primacy of tetranucleotide SSRs in mediating phase variation (the rapid reversible switching of gene expression) of surface exposed structures such as lipopolysaccharide. The recent sequencing of the...
